After dominating all the established markets, the firm has now turned it’s attention towards the emerging markets, which still has issues such as patchy mobile coverage and expensive mobile data. Launched on Google Play on June 27th without any publicity, with just 573 kilobytes in size, it is a passive space saver as compared to the original Instagram app at 30 megabytes, almost 1/55 th smaller.

The app allows you to share and upload pictures with your followers and check out the stories of the people that you follow. The messaging option has not been added and seems most likely that it remain absent in order to push people towards the original Instagram app. The app is most convenient for people with mobiles that have storage issues as with such a small size, it takes up very little of your space. Taking small bites instead of taking a huge chunk, it’s optimised system allows much less mobile data to be utilized in comparison with the original app.

Now that you know everything which Instagram Lite app can do for you, we would like to leave this to you to decide if you really need this app. Do you? Do share in the comments section below.
